90-Day Bridal Skincare Plan for Indian Brides

Your wedding photos will last forever — your skin should look its best in them. But "bridal glow" does not happen in a single facial session. The best results come from a structured 90-day plan that addresses your specific concerns (acne, pigmentation, dullness) while building towards maximum glow on your wedding day. This guide gives you a week-by-week protocol designed for Indian brides, accounting for our climate, skin types, and the unique stress of Indian wedding planning.

Month 1: Foundation (Day 1–30)

The first month is about establishing a consistent routine and addressing active concerns. Do NOT introduce harsh treatments yet — if something goes wrong, you need time to recover before the wedding.

Week 1-2: Get an AI skin scan (GlowXLab or a dermatologist visit) to identify your exact concerns. Start a basic AM/PM routine: gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, moisturiser, SPF 50.

Week 3-4: Address your #1 concern. For acne: introduce salicylic acid 2% at night (alternate days). For pigmentation: add vitamin C serum (10-15%) in the morning. For dullness: add AHA toner (glycolic 5%) twice a week.

Important: This is NOT the time for new experiments. Stick to proven ingredients at moderate concentrations. Avoid new products from Instagram influencers — your wedding is not the time to guinea pig your skin.

Tips
  • Start tracking your skin with GlowXLab's progress photos from Day 1 — you will love seeing the transformation
  • Cut sugar intake by 50% — glycation causes skin dullness and accelerates aging
  • Drink 2.5-3L water daily — hydration is the foundation of bridal glow
  • Sleep 7-8 hours — your skin repairs collagen during deep sleep

Month 2: Active Treatment (Day 31–60)

By now your skin should be adapted to your routine. Month 2 is when you push for results.

For acne: Increase salicylic acid to nightly. Add niacinamide 10% in the morning (reduces sebum + fades post-acne marks). If acne is severe, consult a dermatologist about adapalene.

For pigmentation: Add azelaic acid 10% at night (alternate with vitamin C). This combination targets melanin from two angles. Results should be visible by week 6.

For glow: Start chemical exfoliation twice a week — glycolic acid 10% or lactic acid 12%. This accelerates cell turnover, revealing fresh skin. Add a hyaluronic acid serum for plump, dewy skin.

For all brides: Start weekly sheet masking with centella or rice extract. Start body care — exfoliate arms, back, neck with AHA body lotion. Apply SPF to exposed body areas daily.

Tips
  • Do NOT get a chemical peel or laser treatment for the first time during this phase — reactions are unpredictable
  • Mehendi/henna patch test 6 weeks before the wedding to rule out allergies
  • Book your dermatologist appointment now if you need professional treatments (peels, microneedling)
  • Start a collagen supplement if budget allows — clinical evidence supports 5g/day for skin elasticity

Month 3: Polish & Glow (Day 61–90)

The final month is about maintenance and polish — NOT new introductions.

Day 61-75: Continue your established routine. Your skin should be visibly improved. Focus on consistency, hydration, and sleep.

Day 76-85: Professional facial (if desired) — but only one you have had before. No new treatments. Intensive hydrating masks 3x/week. Body polishing and moisturising daily.

Day 86-89: Gentle routine only. No actives, no exfoliation. Just cleanser + hydrating serum + moisturiser + SPF. You want zero risk of irritation.

Wedding Day: - AM: Gentle cleanser → vitamin C → hydrating serum → primer-moisturiser → SPF (under makeup) - Have a hydrating mist on hand for touch-ups - Do NOT try a new product on wedding day - Your GlowScore should be at its peak — scan in the morning for the confidence boost!

Post-wedding: Gentle routine for a week (your skin went through heavy makeup + stress). Then resume your normal routine.

Tips
  • No new products in the last 2 weeks — not even gifted ones from well-meaning relatives
  • Sleep on a silk pillowcase for the last month — reduces friction and skin creasing
  • Keep stress low (easier said than done during Indian weddings!) — cortisol directly causes breakouts
  • Delegate wedding tasks — your skin literally reflects your stress levels
