Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: March 2026. GlowXLab is committed to making skin intelligence accessible to everyone.

Our Commitment

GlowXLab is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with diverse abilities. We continuously work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards across our platform.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines help us ensure our content is:

Perceivable

Content is presented in ways that all users can perceive, with text alternatives for non-text content.

Operable

Navigation and interface components are operable via keyboard, touch, and assistive technologies.

Understandable

Information and interface operation are understandable, with predictable navigation and clear language.

Robust

Content is robust enough to be reliably interpreted by a wide variety of user agents and assistive technologies.

What We've Implemented

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and semantic elements throughout the application.
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible for keyboard users.
  • Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient color contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
  • Alt Text: Meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes.
  • Screen Reader Support: ARIA labels and roles are used where needed to enhance screen reader compatibility.
  • Responsive Design: The application is fully responsive and works across all screen sizes without loss of content or functionality.
  • Dark Mode: A dark theme is available for users who prefer reduced brightness or have light sensitivity.
  • Motion Reduction: Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas are still being improved:

  • AI Skin Scan: The camera-based scan feature requires visual interaction and may not be fully accessible to users with visual impairments. We are exploring audio-guided scan alternatives.
  • AR Try-On: The augmented reality makeup feature requires camera access and visual feedback. Alternative text-based makeup recommendations are available.
  • Data Visualizations: Some progress charts may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working on adding tabular data alternatives.

Assistive Technology Support

GlowXLab is designed to work with popular assistive technologies including VoiceOver (iOS/macOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA, and JAWS screen readers. We test regularly with these tools to ensure compatibility.
